Clear links.
Honest reasons.
StudentStart exists to make UK student life easier. Some clearly labelled links may earn the link owner a reward or commission, but a payment never buys a positive recommendation. Always compare the provider’s final price and terms independently.
0 disclosed earning links currently activeHow a partner link works.
If you follow a clearly labelled partner link and then buy or book something, StudentStart may receive a referral payment. The provider’s final price and terms control the purchase, so compare them with the ordinary public offer before deciding.
Where links may appear.
The theme includes a small number of clearly marked spaces where a relevant approved partner or referral can be added without turning the site into an advert wall.
- First-airport transfers
- SIM and eSIM services
- Student accommodation
- Student discount services
- UK travel services
- International money services
- Bank-account referrals
- Student essentials and approved shopping links
What does not change.
We still explain the trade-offs, show important conditions and link to official guidance. A service can be removed when it stops serving students well. Students should compare the full price, cancellation rules, eligibility and alternatives before deciding.
Editorial recommendations are not adverts.
Monzo is currently included as an editorial recommendation only. Its button goes to Monzo’s official website, is not a personal referral link and does not earn StudentStart a reward or commission.
Amazon student-shopping links.
The Amazon links currently shown are ordinary links and do not earn StudentStart a commission. If an approved Amazon Associates link is activated later, it will be labelled before the click and this page will display Amazon’s required associate statement.
Current featured recommendation.
Alibaba Cabs is featured as one option in the first-arrival guide because a pre-booked airport-to-door service may suit students arriving with luggage in an unfamiliar country. The guide also explains when public transport may be cheaper or more practical. No review score or award claim is used to support the recommendation. If an approved tracked URL is added later, the link will be visibly labelled and covered by this disclosure.
